The book Maximum Ride:The Angel Experiment is the first installment in the page-turner Maximum Ride series. James Patterson does an exellent job in this series. 14 year old Max is the leader of a group of human/avian(bird) hybrids. They are on the run from the horrible School, the facility that turned them into who they are now. The School is using human/lupine(wolf) hybrids called Erasers. From a cosy wooden cabin in the woods, to a cave inhabited by hawks, Maximum Ride and her flock spread their wings and fly away. As Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy(a.k.a Gasman), and Angel would say 'up and away!'

The Ranger's Apprentice

The Ranger's Apprentice series is a novel for the bestseller list. The first book, The Ruins of Gorlan, will have you staying up till midnight trying to finish it. John Flannagan weaves a magneficent tale as an orphaned teenager named Will embarks on a dangerous yet stimulating journey to become the best Ranger the world has ever seen.

Nightmare Academy

The Nightmare Academy by Dean Lorey is a definite 5 stars. The novel is the story of a young boy named Charlie Benjamin who hates to sleep. Why does he hate to sleep? Well, every time he sleeps over somebody's house,or even nap time at school, those same monsters under the bed that we all know and hate appear, and wreak havoc on everybody but him. Turns out, that very ability may be the very thing that saves the world.

Erec Rex Series

The Erec Rex Series by Kaza Kingsly is one of the best books of the year. It balances the average life of a middle-school aged boy with a life of danger, politics, and even romance. The 1st book, The Dragon's Eye, is a great kick start to the series.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
