The Nightmare Academy by Dean Lorey is a definite 5 stars. The novel is the story of a young boy named Charlie Benjamin who hates to sleep. Why does he hate to sleep? Well, every time he sleeps over somebody's house,or even nap time at school, those same monsters under the bed that we all know and hate appear, and wreak havoc on everybody but him. Turns out, that very ability may be the very thing that saves the world.

Erec Rex Series

The Erec Rex Series by Kaza Kingsly is one of the best books of the year. It balances the average life of a middle-school aged boy with a life of danger, politics, and even romance. The 1st book, The Dragon's Eye, is a great kick start to the series.
